We look forward to the blog being another avenue to interact with and keep residents and businesses current on various topics and areas of interest.

City staff will be posting regularly on the blog, addressing a variety of topics. Please note the blog does not replace other means of communications, but it is an additional source. We will continue to rely on public meetings, webcasts of City Council and Planning Commission meetings, City website, City newsletter, and other media sources such as the Osseo-Maple Grove Press, Cable Channel 12, and Maple Grove Patch.

National Night Out – August 7 (NNO)

At this time we have 120 registered block parties throughout the City of Maple Grove, and with National Night Out being right around the corner we are gearing up for our NNO Kickoff event.

The Kickoff will take place at the MG Community Center from 11:00-1:00pm on Tuesday, August 7. A free lunch grilled by the Chief of Police along with our Captain of Special Services will be offered. For $1, you can have the chance to Dunk a Detective, Sink a Sergeant, and Capsize a Captain in our dunk tank with all proceeds being donated to the Special Olympics of Minnesota!

As usual there will be plenty of games, activities, squad cars, and information for everyone to view and participate in during the kick off.

At night representatives from the Maple Grove Police, Fire, City Council, Administration, and Maple Grove Hospital/North Memorial will be out to visit all the parties in Maple Grove.
