- Gravel roads are routinely graded to minimize rutting, washouts, and frost boils.
Frost conditions may prevent road grading in early spring.
- Grading is most effective following a moderate rainfall.
- The City of Maple Grove grades and shapes gravel roads in the late spring and coordinates application of magnesium chloride to lessen dust conditions in dry weather.

Maple Grove has a five year street rehabilitation program for the years 2013-2017 (see attached map). This program was approved by City Council on June 18, 2012. For information on upcoming projects or those out for bid, please reference our Bid Information page.
The following are the proposed 2017 street rehabilitation areas:
Stone Bridge Area - 213 lots
Fish Lake West 7th-8th/Rolling Hills Area - 191 lots
Fish Lake West Plat 6 - 83 lots
Monticello Lane - 85th to 89th Avenue
