Due to capacity constraints, all patrons on the pool deck, including non-swimmers, are required to purchase a pool wristband.
Children under age 1 are free.
Pool supervision policy
All children under 42 inches tall must have an adult in the water within arm's reach to use the Grove Cove Aquatic Center pools. One adult may be responsible for supervising up to 3 children under 42 inches tall.

Pool wristband policy
During the outdoor pool season, all persons entering the indoor and outdoor pool areas are required to pay admission or show a valid membership and wear a wristband. This policy includes swimmers and spectators.
Community Center pool rules
- Swimmers are required to wear the appropriate wristband in the pool. Parks and Recreation program participants do not need a wristband unless attending open swim in addition to their class.
- During the outdoor pool season, all swimmers and spectators must have a wristband to be in the pool area.
- Parents/guardians of students in swimming lessons may observe from the indoor pool deck (during their child's class time only) without a wristband.
- U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets are allowed if there is an adult in the water within arms reach. Life jackets may not be worn on:
- Rope swing
- Climbing wall
- Water slides (except the tot slide)
- During lap swim or flotation fun
Life jackets may not be inflatable. No other flotation devices are allowed, including water wings, noodles, kick boards, tubes and air mattresses, unless approved by the supervisor on duty in the case of a therapeutic, instructional or exercise program or a special need.
- Small toys, diving rings and beach balls are allowed, if used in a safe manner and do not endanger other swimmers.
- Footballs, baseballs, tennis balls, hockey pucks and other hard objects are not allowed. The pool supervisor on duty will make any discretionary decisions on which toys will be allowed.
- Swim diapers are required for all non-trained swimmers and are available to purchase at the lower level customer service desk. No disposable diapers in the pools!
- No climbing or hanging on spray activities.
- Glass masks are not allowed in any of the pools.
- Kick boards, pull buoys, barbells, fins, and other equipment are for lap swim, fitness swimming, and structured programs only.
- Aqua socks and sandals are permitted in the pool but must not be worn down the waterslide.
General pool rules
- No diving.
- No glass in pool area.
- No street shoes, food or beverages in the pool area.
- Parents are required to be in the water with all children under 42 inches tall.
- All persons entering the pool are required to take a cleansing shower before entering the pool and after using the restroom.
- Do not use the pool if you have an infectious or communicable disease. Be aware that open cuts, blisters, or wounds may become infected.
- Spitting, spouting water, or blowing the nose in the pool is prohibited.
- Children 8 years of age and under must be supervised by an adult in the pool area.
- No running or rough play allowed in the pool or locker room areas.
- No hanging on lane lines.
- No pets inside the pool facility.
- Swimmers engaging in unsafe or disruptive behavior will be asked to leave the facility.
- No refunds are issued for pool closures due to defecation, vomit, weather or other unforeseen situations.
Waterslide rules
- First time users - please ask a lifeguard for instructions.
- Users must ride the slide feet first on their backs.
- No watches, goggles, glasses, locker keys, or other sharp objects are to be worn or taken down the slide. These objects can scratch the slide and cause injury. Aquatic staff will not hold any belongings for swimmers.
- Users must be 48 inches tall or able to swim from the landing pool to the steps unassisted. If a user has to be assisted, he/she will not be able to use the slide.
- Only one person is allowed on the slide at a time. Parents may not hold children on the slide or catch them in the landing pool at the bottom.
- People who are pregnant, have a heart condition, or other physical impairments are advised not to use the slide.
- Users must exit the landing pool immediately after going down the slide.
- No running, standing, kneeling, rotating, or stopping on the slide, or diving from the slide.
- Keep arms and hands inside the slide at all times.
- Users engaging in unsafe behavior will lose sliding privileges.
- No life jackets can be worn on the waterslide.
Lap pool rules
- No diving.
- No hanging on lane lines.
- No swimming in rope swing area during scheduled use times.
- Users engaging in unsafe behavior will lose lap swim privileges.
- No life jackets can be worn in the lap pool.
Tot slide rules
- No running!
- One slider at a time.
- Do not slide until the person in front of you has moved away from the bottom of the slide.
- Slide on your bottom, feet first.
- No toys on the slide. Hands need to be free to hold the handrails!
- Users engaging in unsafe behavior will lose sliding privileges.
Rope swing rules
- First time users - please ask a lifeguard for instructions.
- One person allowed on rope swing at a time.
- Users must land feet first in the pool.
- User must be able to swim to the side of the pool unaided. If a user is assisted, they will not be allowed to use the rope swing.
- Users engaging in unsafe behavior will lose rope swing privileges.
- No life jackets can be worn on the rope swim.
