Lake Quality Commission vacancy

The City of Maple Grove currently has two openings on the city’s Lake Quality Commission.  Membership to this board is filled by nominations from the Mayor with confirmation by the City Council.  The twelve-member commission serves three year terms and serves at-large (this means you do not need to live on one of the City's lakes to serve) and focuses on activities on and near the water. These appointments will run through December 31, 2020.

Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018, and should be directed to:
Rick Lestina, Lake Quality Commission Liaison, PO Box 1180, Maple Grove, MN  55311.

The Lake Quality Commission was established by the City Council in 1986. Seven of the 12 members are chosen to represent areas near the City's lakes with the remaining five members representing the community at large. The City Council appoints the members of the Commission for three-year terms.

Maple Grove lakes have attracted a substantial amount of residential development and the water amenity serves as a focal point for the local and regional parks and trail systems. The Lake Quality Commission is concerned with activities on and near the water. For detailed information, view our lakes, water quality & floodplains page.  SerenityofEagleLake.jpg
