Current status for the Community Center, park facilities, programs & P&R services

Public Notice - March 12, 2021
Governor Walz issued Executive Order 21-11 on March 12, 2021. Modifications were made to executive order as listed in Executive Order 21-11  which are effective starting March 15, 2021 at 12 noon and additional changes to begin Thursday, April 1, 2021 with no end date.

A reservation for each person to use a recreation area for open skating; registration for programs and/or have ice time rented. This is required to help with managing capacities and contract tracing. 


Everyone must have a reservation to use the facility to help us manage capacity restrictions due to COVID-19. The SIGN UP GENIUS app is used to process reservations.  CLICK ON THE LINKS below to reserve your spot.We strongly encourage customers to make their own account for ease of managing their reservations.  We know plans change. If you have reserved a spot and do not plan to use it, please take a moment to cancel the spot or call us to assist you at 763-494-6500.

General Guidelines to use the Ice Arena

2. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED for open skate programs to help manage capacity limits and for contract tracing.  Due to the limitations, we ask that you CANCEL your reservation if you are not planning to use it. This includes open skate, open hockey, low test figure skating and dead ice.

3. HOCKEY/FIGURE SKATERS, LESSON PARTICIPANTS AND SPECTATORS are required to COVID protocals specific to practices, scrimmages/games.

 3.  Payment will be collected at check in.  MGCC Members are to scan cards when checking in.  All admissions will be processed at the ice arena office on the lower level of the ice arena.  

4. Maintain 6 ft social distancing on and off the ice.

5. Enter 15 minutes prior to the open skate and exit within 15 minutes of the end time.

6. Skate rentals are available.  Sizes range youth 8 to adult 12.  $3 per pair.

General Information
The Ice Arena has 1 Olympic-size & 1 NHL-size sheets of ice that offer great opportunities to get together with family and friends. Open skating, adult open hockey, low test freestyle skating, dead ice, and skating lessons are offered. For our patron's safety, we are proud to have all-electric maintenance equipment!

Yes! Check out the all building membership for year round access.

Are there ice arena group or private rentals?
Due to COVID19 groups reservations are not being offered.  Keep us mind. Check back later this spring. Private rentals require a Ice User Group submittal. Send inquiries to Check out the rentals that are available.
