NW-610 update – April 2019
This process began in Fall 2018 with the goal of drilling down beyond the comprehensive plan to create a land use plan for the area that is more detailed. The northwest & 610 areas are currently being influenced by development in Corcoran, Dayton and Rogers, as well as the upcoming Brockton interchange project.
The master plan focuses on:
- The desired development pattern
- Residential densities
- Design of the road network
- Connections with the future school site
- Neighborhood parks
- Natural features preservation
We will be holding a public open house on April 25, 2019 (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the City Hall atrium) to hear from residents about the draft concepts. The same materials are also available for review and comment at https://wsb.mysocialpinpoint.com/nw-610-master-plan#/.
After the open house and period for online comment, the plan will be updated based on the input received.
The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the master plan on June 10th. Some revisions may be made after Planning Commission and public feedback.
The city council will be prepared to take action on the master plan at their June 17th meeting.
