Fill the Truck for Food Shelf

The City of Maple Grove invites our community to help “Fill the Truck” for CROSS Services. On Monday, April 22, from 1 to 4 p.m. residents, businesses, students, places of worship, community groups, etc. are invited to bring donations of non-perishable food as well as hygiene and household products to the Maple Grove Community Center on Weaver Lake Road. A large CROSS truck will be in main parking lot with assistance provided to load donations.
Not available on the 22? Not a problem! Donated items are currently accepted:
Through Friday, April 19, at Maple Grove Government Center, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
And every day through Sunday, April 21, at Maple Grove Community Center, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Marked barrels are located inside the main doors of both buildings.
Most needed items are
• Tuna, ravioli and beef stew
• Boxed noodles
• Spaghetti sauce
• Ketchup, mayo, peanut butter, jelly, syrup
• Fruit cups and applesauce
• Shampoo, deodorant, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, diapers
Donations will help stock the shelves at the CROSS food shelf that serves Maple Grove and several surrounding communities. This special event is sponsored by the City of Maple Grove employee Fit For Life wellness program.
