Hennepin County Drop-off Facility

Location:  8100 Jefferson Highway, Brooklyn Park

Residential Services:

Households and residents are provided with a year-round opportunity to safely and properly dispose of hazardous items and recycling. Hennepin County's drop-off facility has an informational brochure which includes their hours of operation and a list of items accepted.  However, currently they are open with limited operations and new safety procedures.  Please visit their website for specifics.

The drop-off facility is open to residents of the following counties:

  • Carver
  • Dakota
  • Ramsey
  • Washington

NOTE:  Regular household garbage and trash is not accepted at this facility.


Hennepin County generally does not accept waste from businesses, except for cardboard, scrap metal, recycling, and organics recycling from small businesses.  Check here for information on grants for businesses.
